PlusSocial is a small, deliberately calm social platform. It exists for people who want to connect, learn and give something back without being sorted, ranked and pushed around by an algorithm. Everything here is built so that you are the one holding the dials.
To prove that being online together can be kind, calm and genuinely useful — that a social space can be shaped around the person using it, rather than around how long they can be kept scrolling.
You decide what reaches you. Choose a gentle, balanced or open setting, mute words that sting, and soften, blur or hide anything you'd rather not meet. Shield only changes your own view — it never removes anything from the platform, and there is always a 'view anyway' unless a guardian has locked it.
Smaller rooms with a purpose: causes, learning, mutual support and shared interests. Communities have their own pages, discussions, members, guidelines and resource libraries, run by the people who care about them.
Plus AI helps you summarise, understand, translate and reply kindly, and it helps moderators triage reports. A human always makes the final call on anything that affects a person or their content.
Moderation is the platform acting: reports are reviewed by people, and content that breaks the guidelines is removed for everyone.
Community filtering is a community's own house rules, set by the people who run that space.
Shield is only yours. It changes what you personally see. It never removes anything from anyone else's view, and we will never claim otherwise.
Posts, photos, video and 45-second voice notes, in the order they were shared. No engagement-maximising ranking, no infinite outrage loop. Explore lets you search people, posts, communities and resources; you can pin up to five posts to the top of your profile or a community page.
Practical guides, toolkits and templates written by communities, with an in-app reader that can read aloud to you. Every resource is reviewed before it is published, files are private and links expire, and each one lists reading time, level and accessibility notes.

Verified organisations can tell their story, show their goals, and receive support through a regulated payment provider. PlusSocial never stores card details and never processes payments itself.
Sign in with a passkey and no email if you prefer, use a pseudonymous PlusSocial ID, and keep your profile private with invite-only access. Parents and carers can set a PIN that locks Shield, messages, communities or account settings, with optional recovery by email.
Private one-to-one messages with people you've approved, a gratitude jar for quiet thank-yous, the weekly community mosaic lit by small kindnesses, and profile badges that recognise what you bring to the place.
